Zina S Sparling Jewellery
Zina Sparling Jewellery designed and created by Zina S Sparling featuring semi-precious stones. I have always been fascinated by colours, textures, semi-precious and precious stones, gold and the history of jewellery. That fascination deeply inspires my work and constantly motivates me to create pieces that are a fusion of the ancient and the contemporary – a luxurious, feminine and very unique style of jewellery that is instantly noticed.

Melody Ehsani Autumn/Winter 2010 Lookbook
Melody Ehsani , one of my favorite accessory creators, has dropped a lookbook for the Autumn/Winter of ’10. The collection is pretty huge, and features an array of earrings, necklaces, three-finger rings, and hair accessories. There doesn’t seem to be a theme to next seasons assortment, but her lookbook features multi-ethnic models.

Lacing My Neck
Anyone else ever wonder where the word “necklace” came from? No? Well, you’ll find out anyway. The word necklace is a compound word that comes from a piece of lace being applied around the neck as a decoration. According to dictionary.com, the word “lace” originated from the French. Merci for the toast and the lace mes amis! I have a secret to share. I’m not wearing a necklace with my dress. The (maybe) seven people who have seen my dress on me (okay, so it’s probably more like 12, but that’s what I get for buying it with a group!) will totally understand why. The neckline totally doesn’t look right with one, so I decided to nix that and stick with earrings and a bracelet. And trust me, those lovelies can hold their own. Yet, this lack of necklaces has made me think of the other events I could wear them to. Who can resist something sparkly or statement-worthy hanging from her neck? Not this girl! So I’ve done some research into some amazing necklace finds, and if you are in the market for one, I urge you to check these out. For the Bridal Shower (Source) It’s pretty and it’s called the “Heirloom” necklace. Pretty much a done deal with that name right? While it may not be everyone’s cup of tea (I can hear Bridesmaid C rolling her eyes right now), it would definitely look good with a cute solid-color dress. Plus it’s only $12.80! For the Bachelorette (Source) Put his blingtastic baby on and no one will miss the fact that you are the one being celebrated! For the Rehearsal Dinner (Source) A little understated, this necklace would go well with a ton of dresses. And that’s probably a good thing since I have changed my mind about dresses three dozen times.

Easy Ways to Spruce Up Your Summer Wardrobe, Day 1
So as promised, each day this week I will devote to one tip that you can use to help make the most of your current summer wardrobe. Some of you may be trying to cut back on extra expenses (hello, just bought a house!), so use whichever tips you like to make yours look “like new”! ENJOY! Day 1 – Play With Accessories Occasionally, I like to start with a “basic” outfit, such as this. I love taking a basic white tee and dressing it up with different options! For work today, I chose this basic white tee and paired it with a skirt I bought last year from NY&Co. For a casual night out, feel free to go with jeans, capris, or shorts. Accessory Choice #1: Chunky Belt A belt can help add sophistication and style to your basic outfit. You’ll need to decide whether you want thick or thin, depending on how it’s going to be worn. A thicker belt looks great draped on the outside of a shirt around the hips. A thinner belt looks great worn in belt loops or around the smaller portion of your waist. Chunky belts aren’t off limits to this part either – take a look at my outfit here: This belt is made of elastic on the sides to help give you a better fit. These are just a couple choices, but you can so totally have FUN with this! Make Your Own! Satin ribbons in a variety of colors can give any outfit “pizazz”. Head to a craft store, pick up some ribbon, maybe some flowers, and get creative! Be sure to cut the ends in a V which will help prevent fraying. Check Your Jewelry! Got a necklace that can do double duty? If it’s long enough, try it out around your waist! Sometimes it can add an awesome touch to your outfit

Unique LA
This was my second weekend running of spending a few hours tripping the craft fair fantastic in downtown Los Angeles, an area that was about as lively as a dead fish during the entire time I was growing up. “Unique LA” is a show that is not dissimilar to the “Renegade Craft Fair,” which was held for the first time here last July in what passes for a skyscraper (13 stories) in Los Angeles. This is the second year of the show, and it occupied the same floor in the same L.A.

Is it considered “cheap” to buy your wife a CZ tennis necklace for Christmas?
idiot boy asked: I buy my wife many fine things. But I don’t care to spend $20,000 on a nice tennis necklace. If I buy her a 20 carat, 14K gold tennis necklace, will she appreciate it and wear it, or will she think it looks too outlandish to be real, and will think others will think the same?

Sharing family heirlooms – - -
Yesterday, I delivered 24 necklaces and two pairs of earrings to a customer. I had the pleasure of helping her create a new generation of heirlooms for the women in her family. In cleaning out her grandmother’s things, S. found the strands of faux pearls and beads her grandmother wore. Seeing them took her back to her childhood, and that warm feeling inspired her to give a piece of that history to each of the 24 women and girls in the family – her mom, daughter, sisters, nieces and great-nieces. At an annual family gathering around Mardi Gras, she would present them with something special from the grandmother some of them were too young to remember

Dragonfable: Critique on the Mini-Release of September 30, 2009
With Rolith squashing bugs, and Alac moving across the country, this week’s release catered towards the DA-holders with one brand new ArchKnight quest. Us free players didn’t walk away completely empty-handed though; a small shop was opened on Wednesday, September 30 in Falconreach by a congenial fairy named Trinki Bell, with accessories for both free players and DAs. Trinki Bell About: Unlike most Minx Fairies, Trinki Bell is actually solicitous to humans- she has stopped by in Falconreach to sell us some pretty capes, wings, necklaces and rings (all with statistics that the developers say would become come in very handy in the future as they revamp the stats)
