I’m back with a discovery of some quirky vintage-inspired jewellery in the form of Zara Taylor’s collection. Sun kissed skin deserves gorgeous designer jewellery, and bare arms are just crying out for stunning bracelets.  This summer it’s all about the bracelet , and stacking is the big news this season, so pile them on! The easiest way to do this is to do this is by choosing co-ordinating or matching bracelets by style or colour.  So if you’re looking to create a vintage style selection of bracelets, perhaps choose something like this gorgeous Art Deco style marcasite bracelet in antique finished Sterling silver and mix it with some freshwater pearls .  Our gorgeous ‘kissing’ pearl bracelet would look great, I would choose the soft pink shade as it will also work well with the nude trend that’s set to continue next season too. Hand On Hip Goes International – Giveaway!

I update my other spots pretty well.  Just not when it comes to my glassing.  I haven’t listed anything new on etsy in a little while either.  My excuse is this netbook.  It’s so not easy to do much on this thing.  But I finally signed up for internet with tmobile using a “stick”.  As soon as I take the time to figure that out I’ll get better.  I hope.  It is summer after all. Right now my van is being worked on by a friend from grade school.  Yea, you read that right.  Facebook put me back in touch with all kinds of people.  I met up with a few of them last Saturday night and one guy, Tom, mentioned he had just put brakes on his truck.  My van needed brakes bad.  So Tom is doing them for me today. So what have I done recently… Several glassing days have been happening.  Some with great results.

I read an interesting article in Marie Claire’s March issue regarding the bib necklace .  The bib neckace is larger and heavier than most choker styles, and often has a fabric bow that fastens in the back, as well as a stiff fabric foundation for all the jewels to lay flat on the neck. However, it doesn’t always have the fabric base – I’ve seen many that are metal and don’t require the fabric underlining.  Often they are heavily embellished with rhinestones and other bright glass flat beads, but all degrees of decoration are seen.  Talk about a fashion statement!   Anyway, I’ll share what I’ve learned.  The writer stated that although this is very trendy and popular at the moment, it has a deep and distinctive lineage.  She said it isn’t a fleeting fad, but is here to stay.  (Huh!)  She continued to say to go ahead and invest in one whether it’s a hot item on the runway or not. If it’s calling your name, she said, then answer and enjoy wearing the new look.  I “let my fingers do the walking” and I researched a few for your shopping enjoyment.
