Fashion, Jewellery and Celebrities are Seeing Red
It’s bold, daring and certainly not for the faint hearted but seeing so many celebrities dressed to kill in scarlet, has got the fashion world, and indeed us, on red alert! The perfect example of how to wear head-to-toe red, Myleene Klass opted for a full skirted Jasper Conran ruffled gown but kept accessories to a bare minimum, with nude Christian Louboutin heels and a simple black belt. Her loosely tousled locks kept the look effortlessly natural, ensuring her divine gown took centre stage.

http://pic30.picturetrail.com/VOL1563/7128022/13805411/301054547.jpg As is the case with every new season and every new year, there is a new trend that will either make your style look modern and edgy or just outdated and boring. The 2009 wedding season brings with it many styles that we are revisiting with a more fresh and updated approach. Here are some examples: Hair Accessories - Having a little something in your hair is something fairly common amongst brides but this year the hair accessory IS by far the hottest trend…and it’s all in the details! The season’s freshest accessories are intricate but also delicate. They combine metalwork with embroidery, and crystal shaped into flowers, hearts and wings. http://nimrodel.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/wedding-hair-accessories-1.jpg Keeping it Real – Got short hair? Forget about adding extensions to your hair for a long wedding look. 2009 is all about natural beauty and sex appeal. Your short hair will have to be worn short… Spice up your short locks with a hair accessory or a tiara! http://media.photobucket.com/image/bride%20with%20short%20hair/teesh82/hair3.jpg It’s all in the Curl – Got long hair? Use long barrel curlers to give your locks a long way look. Add some texturizing product to avoid your style from looking too done up and away you go! http://www.romance-fire.com/pictures/Long%20Curly%20Wedding%20Hair%20Styles%20005.jpg Loosen up a Little - In 2009, we will see a lot of classic hairstyles and up dos with a more relaxed twist. What does this mean? Well, take your favourite “Audrey Hepburn” up do and loosen it up. Don’t make your hair look stiff or too prim and proper. http://www.style-hair-magazine.com/image-files/large-bridal-19.jpg http://www.bridal-hair-styles.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/tiara.jpg When thinking about your hairstyle for your wedding, keep in mind that you want to achieve a look that is sexy, yet comfortable. You’ll have to wear it all day and smile a lot in it, so, make sure it moves when you do and it doesn’t have a million bobby pins digging into your scalp all night…OUCH!!! http://z.about.com/d/weddings/1/0/r/9/Debbie-Matenopoulos—Frazer-Harrison—Getty-Images-Entertainment.jpg

Wedding Hairstyles – 2009
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y177/hollyhatam/hair-down.jpg Your wedding day is the one day you can’t have ”bad hair”. You are the main attraction at this event and your look has to be bang on. For this reason, many future brides start considering their wedding hair and make up early on in their wedding planning. We all know that certain faces work best with certain styles and hair lengths often determine how the bridal hairstyle will work; but, let’s take a look at what you can do with your hair, whether it’s long, medium length or short to ensure you will look your best on your wedding day… Short Hair – Short hair is trendy, cool, and edgy. Styled the right way, it can even look like a faux updo. Cut in layers, it can offer volume where needed and lots of texture to your style. Since short hair is often a design in itself, it can be worn with or without accessories. Should you decide to accessorize your short hair style, do so with simple adornments. Don’t complicate the look; let your hairstyle speak for itself and through it, your personality will shine… http://gimps.de/pictures/albums/userpics/10001/short-hair-hairstyles.jpg http://i308.photobucket.com/albums/kk321/atelier_rosie/wedding%20stuff/wedding%20hairstyles%20for%20short%20hair/Picture6.png Medium Hair – Shoulder length hair (medium) is a classic length worn by many women. It is a length that flatters many faces and is very versatile, allowing the hair to be put in an elegant updo or to be left down in a sexy, carefree style. Fresh flowers and other accessories allow the bride the option to dress up her style further… http://www.easy-hairstyles.com/images/wedding-chignon.jpg http://www.style-hair-magazine.com/image-files/large-bridal-18.jpg Long Hair – With long hair, you have the option of wearing it up or down , curly or straight, with accessories or without. Bar none, it is the hair length with the most options; however, beware not to overdo a good thing. If you are hoping for an updo and you are brunette, make sure your style isn’t too stiff or you’ll come out looking far too severe. Blondes can opt for a tighter updo, as the hair colour (especially if highlighted) diffuses the stiffness of the style. Also, beware the size and colour of your accessories. Again, brunettes need to consider the brightness of their adornments. Anything too white and large will really stand out against dark hair. The accessories are meant to compliment not take over the look. Also, regardless of your hair colour, if you want to have flowers in your hair, use fresh not fake. If fresh is out of the question, use small fake flowers as the larger ones tend to look tacky. Another thing to consider when deciding how to wear your long locks for your wedding is your dress itself. If you are wearing a strapless number or something similar (lots of skin showing), you can wear your hair down in beautiful, sexy, waves. Couple that with a long veil and you will really rock your look! If, however, your dress is more demure, an updo or half up do will work much better. Otherwise between the dress and the hair, no one will actually see you!!!! http://simplystated.realsimple.com/beauty/images/2008/07/06/wedding_hair_wavy.jpg http://www.bridal-hair-styles.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/updo-bridal-hair-styles.jpg http://static.squidoo.com/resize/squidoo_images/-1/draft_lens1985562module9517941photo_1210704311wed3.jpg Beach Hair - For those lucky ladies jetting away to a tropical destination to “seal the deal”, don’t forget that beach weddings have their own set of rules when it comes to fashion. By virtue of being on a beach, your look should reflect the whole ocean vibe. Soft, carefree, and sexy are the words to live by here. Your hair like your dress should be simple, not stiff, sexy, not severe. One simple fresh flower on the side of the head is all that is required for hair accessories. Don’t forget that hair needs sunscreen too!!!!! Enjoy. http://media.redgaloshes.com/content/005478/Hero_3.jpg http://www.weddingtactics.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/hair-with-orchids.jpg Whether your hair is long or short, blonde or brunette, curly or straight, there are a few things to consider when choosing the overall look for your wedding day. Take a moment to read throught the “ long hair ” section above for some easy tips on how to make the best of your wedding day style… But wait! There’s more…check out this cool story I found that has lots of bridal hair info plus a wedding hairstyles ”how to” video !
