Costume jewellery comes in many different styles shapes and colours, but to get the best out of the costume jewellery you purchase you can’t beat costume jewellery that’s made meticulously by hand with lots of love care and attention. The Byzantine Fashionista
I do not care what you think; I love these earrings. Actually, these earrings do seem to say, “I don't care what you think.” They have that bohemian quality that screams, “I embrace style from any age and laugh in the face of fashion.” Perhaps I'm not being fair, but let's face it, in the description, The Metropolitan Museum of Art Store uses the word “Byzantine” as a selling point. I have an enormous soft spot for the Museum.

Mixed metal jewelry set
I’ve had an obsession with circles for the past six months or so. They pop up in almost all of my jewelry designs, and when I don’t have a new idea I sometimes make a bunch of fused circles just so I’ll have them on hand when inspiration strikes. It was just a matter of time til I started making my own chain, and that’s when I found out just how long it takes to make a chain.

Celebrity “designer” backlash
I’ve noticed several articles lately, both in print and online that have been bashing the so-called celebrity designers. I’m not talking about designs that arise from famous fashion houses, but entire lines that some celebrity has “created” for (Walmart, Target, KMart, fill in the blank). Whether they are supposedly creating perfume, fashion, or jewelry, do any of us really truly believe that they are doing much more than lending their names to a line? At best, perhaps, they really do like the pieces that wear their names. At worst…well, let’s not even go there.
